Extra sign-in security
Add a second step when you sign in, so your account is safer even if someone learns your password.
What you can do
- Use an authenticator app that shows a short code that changes every few seconds.
- Keep backup codes in case you don't have your phone.
- Or have a one-time code emailed to you when you sign in.
Once it's on, you'll be asked for the second step every time you log in.
How to use it
- Open your profile page.
- Set up an authenticator app by scanning the code it shows, then save your backup codes somewhere safe.
- If you prefer, turn on emailed codes instead.
- Next time you sign in, enter the extra code when asked.
Keep your backup codes safe — they let you back in if you lose access to your app.
