File QR codes

Turn a file into a QR code. Scanning the code opens the file you uploaded — handy for menus, brochures, manuals, price lists or any document.

What you can do

  • Upload a file (up to 25 MB, any type) and get a QR code that links to it.
  • Files are kept in private storage, never on a public URL. They're only reachable through the QR code itself.
  • Because the file is served through the QR code, every access control applies: an access code, an active-from or expiry date, scan limits and single-use all work the same as for other QR codes.
  • Where the browser can show the file (PDFs, images), it opens in the browser; other types download.

How to use it

  1. Create a QR code and choose File as the type.
  2. Upload your file.
  3. Optionally add an access code or set when the code is active.
  4. Save and share the QR code.

File QR codes are part of the paid plans. If you're on Free, upgrade to Plus or Team to use them.

Keeping files private

Your file never sits on a public link. When you deactivate, expire, password-protect or delete the QR code, the file becomes unreachable along with it — there is no separate URL that could leak it.
